295 is a bit wide... I would say 275/55 or 285/60/15.... 50's look sorta... well... rubber bandish...

Oh, and 15x8 with a 4.5 BS is a good stance without them sticking out from under the fender hellishly bad. I have a set of Weld Draglite 90 Series 15x8 with 26x10R15 M/T slicks in the building... They look sharp on an S-15/S-10....

lol a 295mm wide tire is gonna havta be on a hella offset wheel.

295s on a stock 15 x 8" ralley on a fullsize rubs in the front.. So I can just imagine what it would be like on a 15 x 7 stock s10 wheel..

295 are going on the rear and not on a stock rim.

You could run that in the rear but not in the front... I'd run a skinnier tire up front...

I would run a 195/60 or 185/60 on a 15x4 or 15x3 on the front... Should look nice...

i had 275/60/15 on my truck a couple years ago. those were on the rear, adn i had 235/60/15 on the front. no rubbing issues at all, but that was when it was at stock height.

i have a set of 295-50-15s on 15x10 solid dish aluminum American Racing rims.. you wouldnt like them on your truck.. they stick out a bit.. look goofy.. but i guess if you run a V8 like me that blows rubber off tires through out all the gears (3 by the way) and will still get sideways at 50mph you might need some 50s..

or if you do stock truck drags.. i do that with my 6cyl S10 in wich i use my 50s.. cause they look retarded.. but help ya hook lol

50 is the aspect ratio between the sidewall height and width.. It has nothing to do with the actual width of the tire..

First number is width of tire in millimeters.. Second number is a percentage of the width of the tire.. I.E. 50% of 295mm is the height of the sidewall.. Last number, of course, is rim size...

Sorry, but I get people with this misconception everyday at my shop.. And people always have to argue about it... I think the "50 series" mistake comes from the fact that the only wide width tires you could buy in the past(15 years ago) were "50 series" sidewall heights..
ahhh i get this all the time too lol

meh... we always call them "50s" easier to say hey lemme borrow your 50s.. or hey you need my 50s.. something to the sort than HEY WHERES MY WIDE TIRES AT lol.. or wheres my 295s.. etc. etc. i understand your point tho.. and thanks for correcting me

merry X-mas everyone

295/50R15's however the wheels only have 3 inches of backspacing. With 5.5 inches of backspacing they will tuck up in there nicely.

The front tires are 205/75R15's

Same tires (all 4) on 15x7 camaro wheels truck with about 4 inches of drop, no rubbing. No motor in picture

Can you put this info in the Wheels/Tires section with it's own title like "tire size/width explained" so I won't loose it... I guess I'm finally gonna prove my dad wrong after 5 years of us argueing about it....
