I just had a new clutch kit and flywheel installed. After the new clutch kit was installed every once in a while when I take off and shift gears it grinds some. It doesn't grind every time. I was just wondering if this was normal during clutch break in and everything needs time to seat and adjust properly. I have a 96 s-10 2.2l

could be worse.. my old 93 S10.. i blew the clutch apart.. replaced it.. couldnt get it to bleed.. then finally got it to bleed (3 days later of pumping it daily) got it to where it would drive.. that with stiff gears.. then finally it got to where all the gears were easy exept 2nd.. it was weird.. couldnt figure it out..
clutch fork.. haha id say drive it for a few days.. be easy on it.. see what happens.. if its still there get it checked out.. Grinds are no good and not normal or common in anything lol exept maybe an angle grinder

I only have problems shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear. All other gears shift fine. I drove it yesterday and didn't have any trouble at all. A buddy said it could be the shift fork wearing out.

could the problem be that my clutch plate and clutch disc haven't had time to properly seat since there new and its causing the clutch not to release fully. My mechanic said he doesn't think anything wrong with the Tranny. He drove it and it scratched 2nd a bit for him. The slight grind only happens when you take off and shift. Down shifting to 2nd and 3rd are fine.
