I replaced both the headlight and the dimmer switch. No change!!!!

The dash dims or goes crazy whenever I push on the brakes or use the turn signal. Funny thing is......if the parking lights or headlights are on....it won't do it.

Any other suggestions?

Or do I just need to rebuild my cluster soon?

Start checking grounds under the dash. Also be ready to have it rebuilt soon...

What grounds exactly? Do I need to pull the dash to check these?

The only wires there are when you do the switches are what connect to the back of them and they all looked good.

I may go buy a J/Y in the next few weekends and look for a dash, rear sway bar, etc.

I'm still stumped on this ordeal. There has to be some sort of wiring problem if it only does it when the lights aren't on. I can push the brake and make the dash go crazy but as soon as I flip the parking or headlights....boom back to normal.

I guess I'm just unsure what wires/grounds to take a look at first??

so many projects on this damn truck!!!!!

My dash had a slight flicker to it when I would apply the brake with the lights on. Seemed to just be a current draw, if you look under the dash you'll see a few grounds. Other than that, I would check to be sure the gauge cluster is completely connected into it's pigtail.

Will do. Hadn't had much time lately to get in there and see what all I need to pull off to get to the wires.
