Sounds similar on what I'm doing to my truck, just old models and trust me I don't think it's worth it since there's so much work and you never know what could go wrong with working with wires...best thing to do is grab something aftermarket with instructions

Question Similar question...

I've got a similar question: have an '89 2.5L 5spd that has the idiot-light cluster (no gauges, just speedo & fuel). Have seen the clusters from same year-range with the gauges for water/fuel/batt and wondering if those will swap in and if so what would be needed?
From re-doing the clutch I know mine has electric speedo.
I've actually found a cluster locally (from '94) - will it work in an '89?
Thanks in advance!

i vote you make it like my 89 V8s dash... 100 times easier.. and why not go with "custom" (keep in mind mines a 89.. its all mechanical.. but they make sweet electronic gauges these days..

Cool juniors revenge

I realy like your dash. If you are building a street racer that is the way it should look. It even looks like a race truck.

i needa pull it all apart and paint the aluminum pannel..

just think it would make the gauges "POP" if the pannel was painted Gloss Black.. all my gauges (outside of the tach) have a red backlighting as well
